:: A Beauty Tale- Double Cleansing Debate ::

Oh how intimate a woman's skin regimen can be! Skin care has been a hot topic over the last few years as skin cancer has run rampant and younger generations will do anything to hold onto the skin of their youth.

Japan and Korea have really jumped on board with skin care and have started a lot of really big trends in 2015, one of which is double cleansing. The most popular process in this trend is first cleansing with an oil based cleanser to remove make up and dead skin then follow up with a creamy cleanser to moisturize.

Some of the benefits to double cleansing is the potential for topical products like facial oils, serums, & moisturizers to have a better chance of absorbing into skin due to less dead skin particles and other debris being removed.

I am all for skin care trends but everyone's skin is different, what works for some may not work for all. Those of us with normal/dry skin will no doubt feel the sting of over cleansing while someone with oily skin may see benefits. Much like with fashion trends I find beauty trends great to try but not necessarily adopt! It has to make sense for you.

::glowy skin after sunday refresh routine::

My skin care routine consists of washing my face nightly after using a make-up remover wipe, serum, eye cream & night cream. In the morning I lightly exfoliate in the shower, serum, moisturizing eye cream and moisturize. Sundays are for masks, I generally do 2 or 3. I will use a Glamglow mud mask and follow it up with the Bliss Triple-Oxygen Energizing mask and end with the Glamglow moisturizing mask that I leave on the rest of the day/night.
