:: Lace & Dips with Tobi ::

::dress/ Tobi c/o, shoes/target, clutch/old- similar, lips/stila::

Wedding season is in full swing and it's always important to have a few good go-to looks on hand that can work for multiple occasions and that is why I love Tobi. I LOVE this dress because it's the right amount of sexy but the high mock choker collar keeps it from being too revealing.I recently wore this dress out in Atlantic City (oh, yea we went to Atlantic City) for one of my best friend's Hen party and being on the boardwalk it can get pretty humid but this dress was so  breathable! Definite score! One thing to remember when ordering from Tobi is the intended fit of the dress when choosing a size though to ensure the frock fits properly. I chose a bodycon dress (which you'll see soon!) and I probably should have gone up another size. But I have to say Tobi's choices are all so classic with a sexy spin so they're NEVER boring and you feel great no matter what you're wearing.

On to our Atlantic City trip, I honestly don't even know how we choose the location for her Hen party but we were all so excited to go! I think we all had that Sex and the City episode in our heads where everything was fabulously tacky but to be honest it wasn't quite what Carrie Bradshaw sold us! But, we had the BEST time! The boardwalk was always so entertaining to walk and had some really fun shops and little restaurants and an amazing beach bar that had live music. We spent a lot of time at Bally's gambling (well the girls gambled and I was just emotional support), and some of the girls won pretty big which was so fun! We also ate here and had the best meal, I can see why Gordon Ramsey is so popular! Then we ended the night at Dusk nightclub where we had table service, I've never done that before and I loved it! The DJ was awesome there and played such a good mix of music!

On our second day we woke up late (up 24 hours the day before takes a lot out of you) and headed back to Bally's for more gambling because the weather was a little too foggy to be out on the boardwalk. One of the girls found this AWESOME roof top bar where we grabbed some appetizers and the enjoyed the view of pretty much the entire city! Highly recommend grabbing at least one drink there!  Our waitress recommended Buddakan for dinner so we made a SUPER late reservation but the food was so good and the atmosphere was really good for the second night. We ended our evening at 3:30am after partying at Boogie Nights in the Tropicana, the music was so good because they are songs everyone knows and the crowd is so diverse!! We stayed way later than planned considering our flight was the next morning but we were having so much fun that we didn't want to leave!

Overall, Atlantic City was a really good time! Would I go back? Probably not. The people weren't always the nicest (sorry, being from the Midwest gives me very high standards in this arena) and some areas got a little sketchy. I'd recommend sticking to the boardwalk for safety reasons because you can go from giant casinos to a bad neighborhood by just turning the wrong corner. I would have loved to back in Atlantic City's heyday, back before there were more states open to gambling. I always love being on the ocean so it was like Vegas with a beach, how could you NOT love that!
