It's that time of year to pull together all the sparkle your wardrobe has to offer because it's party time! Since I saw the below picture of T. Swift I have been DYING to find a sequin, striped dress that didn't cost a small fortune and I found the perfect option at Gap!

:: Black & Brown Chicness #OOTD ::

After having a kitten who is constantly breaking the cardinal old timey rule of fashion- do not mix black and brown, I've decided it's time to take a note!

Does anyone have a good nail strengthener to recommend? After having a gel mani and getting it taken off by the salon versus picking it off, my nails are so brittle and in dire need  of repair! I've read great reviews on this one but any other options are welcome! Please tell me you guys have this same problem?

:: Stripe Cardi- Day to Night ::

::day- cardi/Nordstrom {sold out- similar}, white long sleeve tee/Nordstrom, skinnies/zara, bag/alexander wang, mules/Nordstrom, lippies/stila, sunnies/chanel {old-similar}::
::night- cami/Nordstrom, heels/guess, necklace/old {similar}::

So since it's August I think it's ok that I do a few pre-Fall posts, don't you? I (among many, many others) snatched up this cardigan during the #NSale and am so happy I did because I can see myself wearing this to death. It's perfect to wear on its own or as a sort of day jacket on those first warm Fall days!

I thought it would be fun to style for day & night to show just how versatile this item is. While it is currently sold out, there are A LOT of similar options at Nordstrom to hold you over if/until they restock. For a casual day look, pair it with a white tee (short or long sleeve depending on weather), some slides and comfortable black skinnies. I love this look for work or errands on the weekends because it's comfortable and the layers allow for changing weather.

For night, swap out your tee and flats for a lace cami and heels to spice it up a little bit. Again, layers= life! I got this cami in the #NSale and have been wearing it a lot already! I love using sales like the Nordstrom Anniversary sale to pick up some great basics for the new season and this cami is no exception.

We just got back from a weekend in Grand Rapids, MI with a group of friends and we had a great time. Who knew this town was FILLED with amazing breweries? I am not a big beer drinker but fortunately there was always a great, fruity, lighter option for me to try and without finding one I LOVED, it prevented me from drinking too much the day before our 4 hour road trip home! If you do make the trip to Grand Rapids, make sure to go to Founders and get a passport for the breweries around town. You get a stamp at any brewery involved in the program and after 8 stamps you get a tee shirt. I thought this was such a cool idea to encourage people to get out of the comfort zone and try all that the city has to offer. Highly, highly recommended!

Next up, a trip to Boston in October so I better get planning! Thankfully I have plenty of options in my closet already for this trip!

:: Welcome Back ::

::tee & skirt/target {old- similar}, heels/guess, bag/rebecca minkoff, watch/michael kors, cuff/miansai, necklace/kendra scott::

School is back in session and while I've been graduate for years, no one forgets those first few weeks of school. Getting back into the swing of things, every outfit is still new and class is pretty easy. I figured we could all use some inspiration for the new season!

:: Transitional Shift ::

::dress & sandals/target {old- similar & similar}, cuff/baublebar, necklace/luv aj via rachel zoe box of style::

Suede pieces were huge this Summer and I see this trend carrying right through into Fall! I got this dress from target, on sale and can totally pair it with a leather moto jacket and booties or a navy long cardigan and heels! It's going to transition me seamlessly from one season to the next!

Can you even believe it's September? I definitely can't! I will be celebrating my 30th birthday this weekend and I honestly have such a hard time computing the fact that I'm moving into my thirties. Truth be told, I am a very visual person so if I cannot see myself doing something I just assume it's not going to happen. Well I could never see myself growing up, getting married, having a career etc so I had a very morbid assumption I wouldn't live that long. It's pretty messed up right? I laugh about it now but my mother HATES when I say it. You can imagine my surprise that I've made it to my 30th, married & a home owner! Even more reason to celebrate, right!

:: Looks of Falls Past ::

I absolutely love looking back at old outfits, it's one of the perks of style blogging to be able to see how your style has evolved and be inspired. Last Fall was all about leather & texture and this year will be no different, but adding it more hats & luxe details to maximize on the season's transition. More to come!

Trying to soak up the last few rays of summer and not take for granted the amazing weather. I absolutely love this maxi/scarf combo, all the colors go so well together and make a very sunny outfit. I'm sending off summer in the only way I know how, style!

:: Neutrals ::

::sweater/zara {old-similar}, skinnies/paige, sneakers/steve madden, earrings/kate spade, lips/stila "beso", engagement ring/vintage::

Getting the last bit of us out of my favorite knits before the weather turns, which is has! Today is an amazing 63 degrees and I'm loving it, truthfully I am ready to shed a few layers! I love wearing my white skinnies in winter because it feels fresh & liberating. I wash my white denim separate from anything else to ensure they stay as white as new fallen snow. As the warm weather arrives I am getting so inspired to update my look in the form of new dresses & an updated lip color! Tell me how you ready for Spring & stay tuned!
