:: Instagram Round Up ::

Hey guys! I thought I would round up some links from my favorite Instagram OOTD posts from the last few weeks! Life has been so hectic lately that I haven't gotten a chance to score some time with my favorite (everyone's favorite) photographer to shoot some new stuff but that all changes this weekend. Expect A LOT more Fall content coming your way and I am going to do a little tutorial on how I get my almost perfect manicure at home!

The date night look I pulled together for my birthday dinner! We ended up at the bar (our family business not just because we like to drink) a lot longer than intended because it got super busy so my husband couldn't leave as soon as we anticipated so I'm glad I went a little more comfy with this outfit.

I am obsessed with yellow and mustard shades lately! I think like most blondes I always believed I couldn't pull off this color but I adore this top as a great Fall transition.

The weather has been perfect for easy flannel outfits to run errands. I try really hard not to ALWAYS wear athleisure out of the house so jeans + flannel= new bff!

Again with the yellow! This Topshop sweater is amazing with bell sleeves and a lace up back, I have gotten so many compliments on it already!

Black and gold details are my favorite for this time of year! I am absolutely loving my Rockie bag, I'm thinking I should do a full review! Don't you?

Most days I love a tunic/legging combo because it's so easy! Florals against a black background are a perfect transition into Fall!

:: Lace Top ::

I am basically just cycling through the Summer pieces I love the most until the weather allows for me to wear what I really want, sweaters and boots! These AE pants are so comfy, I get a little sad storing them away until the next year that I think I'll keep them out a bit longer and pair them with a cream colored sweater on one of those weird days where it's chilly in the morning and balmy in the afternoon! You know the one! 

We are starting to get more settled at home these days, it only took us a year and a half but all good things take time! Our guest bedroom is all but finished, it just needs window treatments and a coat of paint and I am thinking of adding a potted plant too. 

Our bedroom is in the exact. same. place. as our guest bedroom, just a window treatment away from being completely finished! I really want to do white wood blinds in our bedroom to keep with the white and blue theme! 

In the living room we added a HUGE new sectional sofa that I am obsessed with!  Our friend has the same couch and I knew from the moment we moved into our home that we needed something similar, or exactly the same one! It opened up our living room a lot, surprisingly and I love it! It seriously seats like 6 people comfortably! I added a neutral leopard print ottoman for extra seating and let's be honest it's adorable! I'm thinking I just need to shoot the rooms that are pretty well finished and do a post...thoughts?

:: Fall Neutrals ::

So being a little sister meant my older brother would tease me about certain things, like my big head which led me to believe I couldn't wear hats! Well, it's nice to know that's not true. I received this olive Topshop hat in my Rachel Zoe Fall Box of Style (check out the Winter hero item & subscribe to this quarterly treasure trove here) and I've fallen in love. Of course, hats are totally on trend right now so I may be lying to myself but if so let me live in my fantasy land! 

The colors in WI right now are amazing with the leaves changing, everywhere you look is an Instagram waiting to happen!

Trying to soak up the last few rays of summer and not take for granted the amazing weather. I absolutely love this maxi/scarf combo, all the colors go so well together and make a very sunny outfit. I'm sending off summer in the only way I know how, style!

:: Summer in Review ::

I died when I found out Rachel Zoe was curating her own subscription box and immediately signed up the second it was available! The way her box works is a quarterly box of items that range from beauty to accessories and also things like style tap or nippies that she picks herself (everyone gets the same thing) with one hero item. You can buy one box for a season or for the full year, I went for the yearly because it was a better deal and I knew they'd sell out season to season (which so far they have). 

The Summer box arrived this week and my 2 favorite items are the exclusive for Box of Style Mara Hoffman scarf and the hero item Cambridge leather cross body in brilliant white! Also included were a Too Faced lipstick (a beautiful sheer cinnamon color that is totally buildable with a great shine) and bronzer which is perfect for every complexion, O.R.G Mineral Face Peel, and Bristols Nippies Skins. 

I haven't been disappointed yet by anything picked for the box and have used everything multiple times. The Toms sunnies I received in Spring have replaced my Chanel sunnies as my go-to (I realized I want my Chanels to last forever so they have become special occasion sunnies {the black & brown pairs}) and I get a million compliments on them. I paired the scarf with a bright orange maxi and felt immediately like I was on a tropical vacay even though I was sitting at my all grey cube at work (the look will appear on the blog no worries). 

I fully recommend if you're looking for a subscription box to try, this one is a solid investment. I love that it's quarterly because the items you receive are amazing quality and a great way to start the new season's wardrobe! It also cuts back on the amount of accessories or beauty items you have piling up. Get yours here and fast because they sell out in an instant!

Summer has officially arrived and the weather showed up literally RIGHT. ON. TIME. And not a minute earlier. There is nothing more quintessentially Summer than a banana leaf print shirt and I love the bright detail on this one from Zara. 

We are going to Phoenix, AZ over the 4th with another couple for a few days and I'm actually really excited to feel the 115 degree weather we're anticipated to have! I am bringing everything I own that is light weight and some hats for the pool because I see myself spending a lot of time there. I have never been to Arizona so I'm excited to see the desert and take in the landscape! Don't worry, you'll hear all about what we did and what I wore while we're there!

The moment I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it! The colors are stunning and it is so comfortable and easy to wear. I cannot wait to pair it with every bright top I own during the warmer months!

Let us first acknowledge the major sass this outfit brought out in me! I was testing the cropped sweater trend and to be honest, it was fun to try but not for me. I usually pair this sweater with a peplum or a long button down. But with a leather skirt, sassy!
