Hey pretties!! I've been noticing a certain pair of wedges getting A LOT of attention from other bloggers due to the Shopbop sale and I ordered them last year for my trip to Mexico so I thought I'd share a review after having them for an entire season!

The first thing I love about these wedges is how lightweight they are! In general, wedges are extremely easy to walk in despite the heel height because your foot is essentially flat so there is no awkward balancing act happening! Sometimes though, wedges can get heavy so you feel like your clomping around but with these you never feel that way! They are so comfortable and easy to walk in you'll feel like you're wearing flat sandals. Also- they are so versatile because of the neutral tones you can wear with jeans and an eyelet tank or with a ruffled sundress so whether on vacation or going out with friends, these shoes make getting dressed easy!

WARNING- these wedges are TALL!! If you're already a little insecure about wearing heels because of your height, be aware the wedges on these are no joke high. I would recommend for my tall soul sisters the flat sandal version instead because at 5'5" I get a little awkward about just how tall these make me! And I'm on the short side of average height.

I would HIGHLY recommend these shoes, especially now during the Shopbop sale because they are a bit of an investment but I'll tell you that they're worth it because you'll be living in these all season!

I live for a black/white combo! I especially love it when going to events where I'm entirely sure what the dress code is because it always looks pulled together. My biggest style philosophy is to be appropriate for the venue/event, I don't mind being overdressed but I HATE being under dressed so when in doubt I black and white combo it out!

 

Ok- so I need some good Netflix recommendations because I am seriously running out of things to watch!  Obviously The Crown was amazing and comes back in December, the trailer for season 2 came out today and I cannot wait to watch. The trailer makes it seem like the main focus of this season is the Queen and Prince Philip's relationship which I love because I am slightly obsessed with Prince Philip. So c'mon December 8th!!

I finished Riverdale and absolutely loved that one too. It's a great show to watch if you're missing Pretty Little Liars! I loved every character but Cheryl is my favorite, the actress who plays her is hauntingly beautiful and her character is so complex. One minute she is delivering a bone chilling one liner and the next she's breaking down in tears in front of the entire school!!

Kyle and I are currently watching The Ozarks and it's a great if you loved Breaking Bad but need a little more comedy in your life. Jason Bateman is so funny but also really bad a$$ as a financial advisor turned money launderer! The kids in this show also have a lot of development that is really interesting to watch.

So now I need you help- what to watch next?? Please advise :)

:: Summer Transition- Sleeveless Sweater ::

I am in the mood to de-clutter!! I went thru my jewelry and got rid of so much costume jewelry that I never wear but have been holding onto for just the right occasion that let's be honest will never come around. I am planning on doing a full post of what I got rid of, new jewelry storage, and how to build a solid jewelry collection that is both meaningful and always on point. 

Is it just me or does anyone else Spring clean before Fall? Without fail I de-clutter the second a chilly gust of wind whips thru our area. A couple days ago it was chilly and rainy and it reminded me it's time to clean up & refresh. I got a similar print to this one to update our entry way and picked up this full length mirror for my closet! It's funny how a few new details and getting rid of things you don't use can make everything seem new!

Am I the only one who truly hates shorts? I can't be right? I don't know why but I just really prefer a good jean/tank combo or sundress in the summer. I have one pair of black shorts (see this post) that I've been wearing quite a bit this summer but otherwise, it's all jeans all the time.

 

 

Have you been to Target lately? Back to school is already in full swing, yesterday they were putting out school supplies! I was shocked at first but then delighted because back to school means FALL! Like I've said, I'm not wishing away summer but I love a crisp Fall day. It also takes everything I have not to buy every cute notebook I see. Does anyone else have this problem?

 

I am obsessed with this bag! I picked it up for our Mexico trip and it's the perfect Valentino dupe, it's great quality and the price is to die for. I highly recommend! It also comes in black, grey, and red so you'll have options!

Scallop Blush

I am exhausted you guys! The wedding this past weekend was amazing and I can only imagine if I had had to go back to work on Monday vs Wednesday. Let's all take a second to appreciate a long week... yay!

 

We put in a patio toward the end of last summer and only had a few pieces of furniture to enjoy it last year. So naturally I just sit on it in my best Tobi dress and tend to my lipstick. Kidding!!!

 

 In like March I was frantically searching Amazon to find a good deal on patio furniture so my husband and I could enjoy our outdoor space. This set was an incredibly good price and pretty easy to assemble. I didn't do A LOT this year as far as other decor was concerned because we decided to put up a privacy fence so I went with a minimal look for now. We also picked up this table that doubles as a cooler which we have really loved. In addition to patio furniture, we also have a ping pong table in our garage and it's been really fun to pull that out on a nice night and get a little competitive. Of all the activities in the world, I am slightly better at ping pong because why not? One night this last weekend we did a little throw back and played beer pong.

 

I cannot believe it's already July, it's insane how quickly summer goes. I will save the whole basic "I can't wait for Fall" post until a little closer to that season but you guys already know where my head is. During the Zara sale I bought 4 sweaters and a pair of black skinnies soooooooo

Mermaid Blouse

I LOVE clothing that makes me giggle, like for example a blouse with mermaids, sea horses, diamonds and lobsters on it. I found this one at Zara and fell in love, the material is super light weight and the ruffle detail keeps it from being too silly. And it's on sale right now, among a ton of other really amazing things so you better go now! Who doesn't love a blouse from Zara every now and then? Or every time I see one?

 

This weekend is 4th of July but more importantly one of my very best friends is getting married so I'm very excited to have all my friends in the same place at the same time. I've been friends with these girls since like, middle school so naturally as we grow up it gets harder to get everyone together. But thank GOD for big life events because it's the perfect excuse to let loose and have some fun together.

 

Oh, did you think I was going to just glaze over this beautiful new addition to my bag collection? NO! I have been in love with the Alexander Wang Rocco/Rockie for YEARS but could never pull the trigger. But when you see an item you've been coveting for years on major sale, you haven't bought yourself a new designer bag in a long time, and it's golf season so your husband will be spending $$ all summer long you just cannot say "no". I've been carrying it for about a month and I love it! I bought the Rockie, so the medium size and I have to be honest it's a pretty heavy bag so I can only imagine what the Rocco feels like to carry. The size is great, the quality is spot on and I love that it polishes any outfit. Not to mention how edgy it is. Worth. Every. Penny.

:: Distressed Bodysuit & Life Update ::

Y'all things have changed around here, I mean I am wearing a bodysuit for crying out loud! But seriously, some really positive changes have happened in my professional life that I am very excited about and I teased a bit on my Mexico recap but didn't get into detail. Well, I got a new job just minutes from my house! I may or may not have mentioned before but my previous employer was an hour away without traffic, but let's be real when in there never NOT traffic? I didn't change career field though, I am still in retail. Call me crazy but to work in retail requires a bit of insanity! 

It has been so amazing to be so close to home, have more time added back into my day where I am not required to sit in a car that I've started doing yoga a few times a week! Remember way back when, my New Year's resolution was to get into yoga? I finally found a studio and did it! I am loving it! I am not that girl that walks out of a strenuous work out and feels amazing, so yoga is right up my alley! Plus, I have a really bad back due to mild Scoliosis so being able to stretch out my back after a long day of sitting feels awesome. 

Let's talk about this bodysuit for a second. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine at 30, I'd be cool enough to wear a bodysuit but this Tobi option is honestly so great. One of my biggest pet peeves is tucking in a shirt because without fail on that day I have to use the restroom more times than ever before. (TMI maybe but again just being real)  So, that amazing tuck I spent 10 minutes perfecting in the morning is gone within the hour but a bodysuit changes all of that because it's a perfect tuck every time. Not to mention, the fabric of this particular bodysuit is so soft and the distress detail is great for Summer! I also see myself pairing it with chunky sweaters come Fall because I am ALWAYS thinking ahead to Fall. 

I have been feeling yellow this Summer for some reason. I was desperately searching for the perfect yellow bag and couldn't find it but that's okay because I found this bag and on major sale and went for it. But these Charming Charlie yellow drop earrings have been a fun way to incorporate yellow into my outfits and they're a much cheaper version of the Baublebar earrings. You know how I have a hard time spending a lot of money on something that I'll only get one season worth of wear out of!
