:: Black & Brown Chicness #OOTD ::

After having a kitten who is constantly breaking the cardinal old timey rule of fashion- do not mix black and brown, I've decided it's time to take a note! 

Does anyone have a good nail strengthener to recommend? After having a gel mani and getting it taken off by the salon versus picking it off, my nails are so brittle and in dire need  of repair! I've read great reviews on this one but any other options are welcome! Please tell me you guys have this same problem?

Mermaid Blouse

I LOVE clothing that makes me giggle, like for example a blouse with mermaids, sea horses, diamonds and lobsters on it. I found this one at Zara and fell in love, the material is super light weight and the ruffle detail keeps it from being too silly. And it's on sale right now, among a ton of other really amazing things so you better go now! Who doesn't love a blouse from Zara every now and then? Or every time I see one?

 

This weekend is 4th of July but more importantly one of my very best friends is getting married so I'm very excited to have all my friends in the same place at the same time. I've been friends with these girls since like, middle school so naturally as we grow up it gets harder to get everyone together. But thank GOD for big life events because it's the perfect excuse to let loose and have some fun together.

 

Oh, did you think I was going to just glaze over this beautiful new addition to my bag collection? NO! I have been in love with the Alexander Wang Rocco/Rockie for YEARS but could never pull the trigger. But when you see an item you've been coveting for years on major sale, you haven't bought yourself a new designer bag in a long time, and it's golf season so your husband will be spending $$ all summer long you just cannot say "no". I've been carrying it for about a month and I love it! I bought the Rockie, so the medium size and I have to be honest it's a pretty heavy bag so I can only imagine what the Rocco feels like to carry. The size is great, the quality is spot on and I love that it polishes any outfit. Not to mention how edgy it is. Worth. Every. Penny.

:: Suited Up ::

 Jumpsuits are tricky, they can either be very classy or very JLo, "Still Jenny from the block" so when I ordered the black jumpsuit from the Peter Som Designation line for Kohl's I was a little nervous. But then pleasantly surprised.

The best part about a black jumpsuit is very similar to a little black dress, changing out accessories gives it a whole new look and this year I'll need some transitional pieces for this year of weddings!

Life has gotten a little crazy with work and upcoming wedding events, I can barely keep it all straight! With my brain in a constant state of mush, getting dressed feels like a good release! I find myself at times wearing Kohl's head-to-toe and I'm totally okay with it, this outfit was no exception!

Do you ever have those days where you stand in your closet hoping something new and exciting will jump out at you from the current contents? But to your non-surprise nothing does, so you just stand there for 5, 10, 15 more minutes. Yea, I've had those a lot lately. Everything I want to wear is Spring ready but not actual weather ready. Womp womp. Nevertheless, I must get dressed for the day and thought I'd express my frustration with a monochromatic outfit.

I am so psyched out the resurgence of the pearl trend for Spring and I've slowly been reintroducing them into my everyday life. I actually got quite a few compliments on this outfit, to my surprise so I guess it wasn't all depressed looking :)

I am dying for Spring to finally show its face in the Midwest, but I'm not holding my breath because it's March and the average temp is around 20 degrees. Until then I'll be rocking every cliche Spring trend proudly...
