So tell me, did you guys crush Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales? I certainly did NOT haha (that's a sad/nervous/anxious laugh) because I did next to no shopping for myself. The one thing I did purchase were replacement black skinnies (see above link) to replace the Zara options pictured here because funny store, I was using the restroom the day BEFORE Thanksgiving while out with friends and completely broke the fly on them. Like, why? How? WTF? Luckily, I was wearing a longer shirt so I could go on with my evening as if there wasn't a care in the world. So, it was a must that I get a new pair immediately because let's be honest I wear black skinnies- all. the. time.

 

I bought this sweater during the NSale and have been hiding for just the perfect time and obviously this is said time, the weather is finally getting chillier so a sweater this thick is needed. I LOVE the fringe detail and it's so cozy and soft. If I hadn't already told you, which I may not have I have become obsessed with the color yellow as of this last summer. I cannot get enough of it so I couldn't wait to pair these earrings with the monochromatic look to give it a little pop!

 

I also thought I'd pull together a few little gift guides to give y'all some ideas of great gifts for the men & women in your life! Nothing huge, I know there are a lot of very specific gift guides floating around blogs right now and those are great but these are more of idea starters! I can NEVER think of what to get my husband or my dad because I try to be too thoughtful so sometimes it's nice to have just a more generic idea of something they probably need and will never buy themselves!

:: C&C Shopping Guide- Off the Shoulder Sweaters ::

I don't mean to be such a basic B here but I am in love with off-the-shoulder sweaters because they're so comfortable with all that extra room, which will come in handy during all those holiday meals (I'm looking at you Thanksgiving)! So, I wanted to pull together some of my favorite from this year so y'all are prepared!!

It's such a hard thing to talk about because anxiety is a silent disease people have to deal with everyday and while I don't suffer from long term anxiety, it's still important to have the conversation! Hopefully, my post could help at least one person!

:: Drinking More Water ::

People use mason jars for all sorts of useful things such as rustic candle holders, salad jars (although this one I don't understand because you just have to dump it all out into a bowl anyway?), food storage but I've been using a major jar to get more water!!

I recently purchased this mason jar to bring into work because I felt like the my previous water tumbler didn't encourage me to drink enough water. First and foremost, I prefer drinking from a straw at work because I find lifting a tumbler above my head very distracting! Secondly, I needed something bigger so I could consume more water without having to get up from my desk every half hour to refill! This baby is 32oz and has been a game changer! I can get my full days worth of water by drinking 3 of them, and it's been surprisingly easy to do that in the span of a work day.

Another great way I encourage myself to drink more water is by infusing it with lemons, limes, strawberries etc! Pinterest is FULL of recipes to make great infused water with so many options. I find it so odd when people say they hate water because it doesn't taste like anything but I get how good infused water can be!

Also- I've put myself on a buying freeze so I figured I'd show y'all some fun stuff to buy in case you're still looking for some great options for the chillier temps. Today it is an amazing 60 degrees out so we're getting a quick glance at sweater weather :)

Can you believe Christmas is a week away??? One way I love to stay comfortable during all those trips from party to party is a tunic & legging look. :: Detail Review- Sorry ::

I feel very much like Justin Bieber these days, just constantly wondering if it's too late to say sorry! Why am I sorry, you ask? Since 2003 I have been vehemently against Uggs or anything remotely close but I came across the mini short this Fall and sort of fell in love with the little suckers. I received a Nordys giftcard for Christmas & decided, why not just order them? What's the worse that can happen? I fall in love but am too embarrassed to wear them out of the house & they become slippers (albeit expensive ones).

Well if you follow me on Snapchat (and if you don't, post here on where to find me) you know that I in fact, did not become too embarrassed to wear them out of the house! I have become so basic in my black SUV, going to get an ice latte at Starbucks, in my Uggs and it's so great. No. Shame.

So lesson learned, never say never (another Biebs reference accidentally on purpose <wait, purpose is the name of his new album?>), like the time I swore I'd never like Justin Bieber and could you believe it, I love every single one of his new songs! Trends are always hard, so it's important to know them, digest them, find the ones that work for you, and then appreciate the rest for what they are. You never know when years later, if they crop back up that you'll end up loving them!

I love a good cable knit sweater & boyfriend jean combo, it's the perfect amount of relaxed cool. The second I saw this necklace & hat I knew I had to wear them together  and why not make an all grey look out of it. As the weather continues to be chilly & cloudy I find myself dressing as such so I'm challenging myself to wear some brights! You'll hold to me to that, right?

I received my first collection from Wantable which is a monthly subscription service based out of Milwaukee, WI that features Beauty, Accessory, & Fitness collections. When I opened my collection for January I was so in love with everything I received. 

I am obsessed with the jewelry I got in my collection, both pieces are so versatile in different ways. The earrings are very bright and colorful with a great mix of shades that they can be worn with just about anything. The all grey necklace can be worn casual or with a more formal outfit. 

That hat though! I have been looking for a few good casual winter hats in this style and haven't found one that I love until I received this sequin/knit combo! I see myself wearing this hat well into the warmer months (let's be honest in WI it doesn't get warm until July so it'll get a lot of wear). I love the scarf although I wish it was a little bigger/longer. The print is adorable and it's super soft, I'm Swedish and we love a good red and white fair isle anything so this scarf is right up my alley!
